Nikki Haley Criticizes Trump’s Picks for Key Government Roles, Including Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley has strongly condemned President-elect Donald Trump’s choice of TGI and RFK Jr. for his government team in the new administration.

Even Haley who has not been a particularly approving of Trump was highly skeptical of their competence and past political stands especially on China and Russia.

Haley’s attack of Tulsi Gabbard

On her SiriusXM show Nikki Haley Live, Nikki Haley begun a barrage to criticize Tulsi Gabbard, who has been nominated to become the next Director of National Intelligence.

Gabbard, a congresswoman from Hawaii who changed her political stance from progressive to conservative in recent years, has been under fire for her quite liberal position about hostile foreign states.

These are extra-sensitive issues, and Haley did not mince her words as she painted Gabbard as someone who supports Russia, Syria, Iran, and China instead of backing up America.

She also mentioned Gabbard provided criticism of NATO after Russian invasion of Ukraine and charged her with being a Russian and Chinese stooge.

Haley also criticized Gabbard on her tour of their ally in 2017, where she met Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, whom many despise as an inveterate oppressor of his own people.

Haley’s worries were all about Gabbard’s fitness for leading the US intelligence community organization. Haley said that a person of such rank must be of someone who does not possess a “profound policy agenda”.

Well RFK Jr. is not a health guy he has questioned what is in our food I agree with him on that but that is not his arena. He is not educated, trained or practiced in healthcare at all,” Haley said. She proceeded to remind Kennedy on his standover of policies dear to conservatives, especially out rightly endorsing liberal Democrats such as Al Gore and Hillary Clinton.

“He’s a liberal Democrat, environmental attorney, trial lawyer who will now be overseeing 25% of our federal budget,” she said, pointing out that his experience in OH/HC could be problematic for leading HHS.

Haley’s strained relationship with Trump

Haley’s comments arrive at a time when the relationship between her and US President-elect Donald Trump is frosty despite having served as the US Ambassador to the United Nations during his first tenure.

I really liked Haley at the beginning of the Trump campaign, so much that she joined Trump’s camp after he clinched the republican nomination, but things took a sour turn during the GOP race for the 2024 ticket.

Haley , who at one point was a leading candidate in the Republican primaries , has been quite vocal about Trump’s lack of presidential material.

Because of these differences Trump has come out clearly to state that Haley would not be included in his second administration despite rumors that she might be part of his team. Trump recently said he would not give Haley a role in his administration although they had worked together in the past.
