The league affirmed on Monday that the part of the Aramco LIV Golf Michigan, which was due to be held on August 27 to 30 at The Cardinal at Saint Johns in Plymouth, Michigan, would no longer be held. This was merely a formality given that the infrastructural development of the venue had never been initially commenced, given that the insiders had been indicating all along that it would happen in weeks.
Besides the cancellation of the tournament, LIV also canceled planned performances of Thomas Rhett and Disco lines that were expected in this week's LIV Golf Indianapolis, citing last-minute alterations to the entertainment lineup.
